About the conference

With 3,000 participants expected to attend congress, this is your chance to hear the latest advancements in the profession, meet with your  colleagues from around the world, make new connections, and be part of the largest international gathering for the physiotherapy profession.

Reduced fees are available for members of World Physiotherapy member organisations, entry level physiotherapy students and assistants, as well as those from low and lower middle income countries and territories.

Call for abstracts is open

This is your opportunity to present your research to a global audience at the world’s largest international congress.

Abstracts are invited that:

  • report on the latest research findings with original data, this may include systematic, scoping reviews and meta-analyses, special interest reports and case studies. Submissions with pending results and study protocols will not be accepted
  • address new and unique developments in practice, theory, education, management and policy
  • describe innovative methods of physiotherapy that have been adapted to meet the changing needs of practice

Resources for abstract submitters are available including a video by Judith Deutsch, congress programme committee (CPC) chair, introducing the abstract submission process, and a video by former CPC member, Natasha Hinwood, telling the story of her first abstract submission for a World Physiotherapy congress.

Time and place

World Physiotherapy Congress 2027 will be held 14 May at Expo Guadalajara, the largest event venue in Mexico, and one of the major economic generators in the meetings industry since 1987. Located in the heart of Guadalajara the venue welcomes over 2.1 million national and international visitors annually.
